Bob Collymore wins prestigious award

This comes even as he is expected back in country after months of treatment abroad

Safaricom Chief Executive Bob Collymore has been named Corporate Executive of the Year at the prestigious East Africa Com Awards.

Collymore was honored on Tuesday at a ceremony held at the Radisson Blu in Nairobi in the awards that celebrate the achievements of people and companies that accelerate digital transformation in East Africa.

Safaricom was also recognized as three of its products on customer service, health and agriculture also won awards.

Jitambulishe a voice biometrics system that enables customers to access services through a quicker and less intrusive vetting process, Digifarm an integrated mobile platform that offers farmers a convenient, one-stop access to a variety of services and M-TIBA a service that allows anyone to send, save and spend funds specifically for medical treatment won awards in their categories.

The East Africa Com Awards has six categories which include; Best Network Improvement, Delivering Excellence in Customer Experience, Most Innovative Service, Changing Lives Award and East African CXO of the Year.
