Bob Collymore wins prestigious award

This comes even as he is expected back in country after months of treatment abroad

Collymore was honored on Tuesday at a ceremony held at the Radisson Blu in Nairobi in the awards that celebrate the achievements of people and companies that accelerate digital transformation in East Africa.

Safaricom was also recognized as three of its products on customer service, health and agriculture also won awards.

“We are delighted by the recognition of the innovations that we have brought to the market. This is a testament of the transformation that technology is bringing to people's lives,” said the Safaricom Director, Corporate Affairs Steve Chege.

The East Africa Com Awards has six categories which include; Best Network Improvement, Delivering Excellence in Customer Experience, Most Innovative Service, Changing Lives Award and East African CXO of the Year.
