Senator Moses Wetangula and MP Tim Wanyonyi loses their Mother

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and his brother Tim Wanyonyi (MP Westlands) are mourning the death of their mother Faustina Nekunda Wetang'ula.

The death of Mama Faustina Nekunda was made public by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya who sent in his heartfelt condolence to Wetang’ula and his family.

Faustina is the step mother to the two legislators and biological mother to their deceased brother Tony Waswa who died of Covid-19 in May 2020. Reports indicate that Mama Faustina also succumbed to Covid-19 complications.

Governor Oparanya mourned Wetang’ula’s mother as an industrious and charismatic mother who was a key pillar in her family.

“Mama Faustina Nekunda Wetang'ula was an industrious and charismatic mother who was a key pillar in her family.

May God grant the Wetang'ula's family, relatives and friends fortitude and strength to bear the loss. May Mama rest in peace” mourned Oparanya.

Siaya Senator James Orengo also sent a message of condolence to Wetang’ula and his family.

“My heartfelt condolences to Senator Moses Wetangula and Hon. Tim Wanyonyi. These are difficult times replete with challenges and pain losing loved ones. May the Almighty give you the strength and fortitude to bear the loss of your beloved mother. May she rest in eternal peace” wrote James Orengo.
