Beware Kenyans, message from Uhuru's office

State House on Friday announced major changes affecting social media accounts used to relay official communication from President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.

In a statement seen by Pulselive.co.ke, Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita listed the Twitter, Facebook and Youtube accounts that will be used to communicate on behalf of President Kenyatta and his wife.

The Twitter accounts include - @StateHouseKenya, @UKenyatta, @FirstLadyKenya, and @KanzeDena.

To effect this new changes @PresidentKE and @PSCU_Digital  were deactivated.

On Facebook, the President's messages will be displayed on State House Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta and Office of the First Lady Kenya.

At the same time, journalists were given the three email address that will be used to send the President’s official communication.

"State House shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any inaccuracies arising from the reliance by a media outlet on communication delivered through any other unofficial means,” the statement read.

Communication Directors at State House including Dennis Itumbi have in the past found themselves in the receiving end for using the president's Twitter account irresponsibly.
