Rare photo of Uhuru with a female aide de camp

She accompanied the President in Nyeri

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday made a public appearance accompanied by a female Aide de Camp - the first ever in Kenyas history.

According to State House, Lieutenant Colonel Rachel Nduta Kamui, from the Kenya Air Force who will be working alongside Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Lekolool, in carrying out ADC duties.

Since July, Lieutenant Colonel Lekolool, from the Kenya Navy, has been serving as President Kenyatta’s aide de camp -  helping him on routine protocol and matters of military tradition.

Before Lekolool, Lt Col Victor Mburu served President Kenyatta in the same role.
