He was the senior counsel during the Presidential petition challenging the win of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 General.
Mr. Odinga won the case and the Supreme Court ordered for a fresh Presidential Election.
Since the historic win, Orengo revamped his commitment to see the former Prime Minister becomes the 5th President of Kenya.
He has led the #NoReformsNoElections demos by NASA pushing the removal of IEBC officials including CEO Ezra Chiloba among other demands.
In his latest show of solidarity, Mr. Orengo renamed the popular Uhuru Park located in Nairobi to Raila Odinga Park.
"Everywhere we go, Uhuru is being mentioned. So, from today as well as during our demonstrations, this park will be known as Raila Odinga Park. And so on Friday, we will meet at Raila Odinga par,” the Senator said while addressing NASA supporters.
This was after Acting Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i banned the demos in the CBD’s of Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa.
On Sunday, Orengo changed the name of Mama Ngina grounds in Mombasa to Ida Odinga grounds.
“I have been told that this is not Mama Ngina Grounds but Mama Ida Odinga grounds,” Orengo remarked.
In 2015, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho named a road at the Coast after Odinga's son, Fidel - following his death.
