Kenyans poked fun at the Coat of arms on Raila's podium
The lions on the Coat of arms had their fangs out and seemed rather chuffed
The stage was set for what the opposition termed as a 'historic day in Kenya's democracy' with a judge to preside over the swearing-in and a podium where the administering of the oath would be undertaken all present at the crammed dias.
However, Kenyans noticed something unusual with the Coat of arms on Raila's podium. The two lions, which act as a symbol of protection, were a stark contrast to the ones seen in the country's Coat of arms.
Kenyans online observed that the lions had their fangs out with one of them seemingly not having a tail. Another Twitter user reckoned that the lions were rather chuffed.
Kenyans took issue with the whole Coat of arms which they argued was a 'mockery' of the whole oath ceremony which lasted for a few minutes.
