Tottenham star humbled by fans special gesture to wish him luck on his return from injury

Tens of his fans from his home nation of Kenya poured to the streets on Saturday to wish him speedy recovery and luck as he returns to the pitch.

Kenyan Tottenham Supporters’ club carried and held up 'Get Well Soon' banners and donned t-shirts emblazoned with Wanyama's face staged a peaceful procession through the streets of Machakos town, a town near Kenya’s Capital.
Others wore the Tottenham colours with 'Team #BigVic' on the back.
“we know these are tough times for him, he has always supported us and I wish to inform him we are praying for him to recover completely and get back to the pitch” one of the fans in the procession said.
Wanyama later posted pictures on his Instagram and thanked the group of fans for their support.
'Thanks for the support Tottenham fan club in Kenya, I promise to come back better and stronger very soon.' He wrote.
The midfielder has been missing for the majority of Tottenham's campaign this season after failing to shake off a knee injury first sustained in pre-season.
Wanyama returned for part of Tottenham's training session on Monday afternoon as he steps up his rehabilitation.
