This is because when they started out they couldn’t stand each other’s guts.
“When Shaffie Weru and I started we never liked each other for real. The fights in the first one year in our show were because we never liked each other for real. He thought I was too serious, coordinated and didn't have room for fun.” Kalekye revealed to us.
While Kalekye thought Shaffie was a bit over the top and crazy.

“We did not start on Rush Hour show. We started our first shows on weekends with Shaffie and Rekodi. The two were crazy, they would come in late and hangovered. I was always asking myself ‘What is this? We have not even prepared for the show!’ ” She said explaining her initial frustrations with Shaffie.
Shaffie’s tardiness and irresponsibility was just the least of their problems as their chemistry was just off.
“For sure we had a lot of problems with our personalities and it lad to a lot of friction on the show. Finally, the friction became what the people liked, but at first, we had a lot of tension in our radio show. When we realize that it was working on the show we decided to capitalize on it.”
And capitalizing they did and that is what moved their show from the Rush Hour slot to the coveted morning spot .
