It was a meaty affair.
The South African Feather Awards seek to celebrate the milestones in the LGBTI community and raise awareness on the struggles facing people in the LGBTI community in South Africa and this year’s theme was ‘Aluta Continua’, meaning the struggle continues.
And as expected of any major event people are often dressed to kill while others dress to stir up controversy.
All eyes were on socialite Nonhlanhla “Skolopad” Qwabe who wore a see-through plastic dress with raw Boerewors sausages protecting her modesty and carried a bag of charcoal as an accessory.
She even struck a very extra pose to accompany her dramatic Lady Gaga-inspired dress.
But she was quickly upstaged by resident provocateur Zodwa Wabantu who showed up with a dress showcasing her ‘meat’. The daring ensemble was an emerald green sheer dress that left nothing to the imagination.
The ‘Drama Queen of the Year’ award winner lived up to her reputation by lifting her one layer of fabric and making a quick sweep that gave partygoers a first-row peek at her nunu.
Though shocking many South Africans are used to seeing Zodwa sans underwear as she likes to go commando at events.
