They Kenyans have been detained in South Sudan since 2015.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry has denied media reports that the principal secretary, Monica Juma, had travelled to South Sudan to secure the release of the four Kenyans.
The media yesterday stated that their release had been secured after President Uhuru Kenyatta and South Sudan leader Salva Kiir had reached an agreement.
In a statement released on Twitter, the Ministry said, "Reports appearing in a section of the Kenyan press alleging that Ministry of Foreign Affairs PS Monica Juma has travelled to Juba to secure release of four Kenyans held in South Sudan jail is false."
However, the Ministry offered no further information as to the fate of Anthony Mwadimu, Ravi Ramesh, Boniface Muriuki and Anthony Keya who were jailed.
They had been accused of defrauding the Juba government out of Sh1.4 billion.
They were arrested in May 2015.
