Miguna divulged that the demos will commence today in front of the Parliament in Westminster at 2 PM.
The Canadian-based lawyer called upon members of NRM to join him and others during the protests.
“SOLIDARITY DEMO IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, APRIL 5, 2018. I thank NRMKe members, patriots, comrades and friends of Kenya, for taking up the action,” he said.
Why Miguna was deported
Mr Miguna is demonstrating against his deportation after the Government claimed that he was not a Kenyan Citizen.
He was first ejected from the country after taking part in the controversial swearing-in of National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga as the People’s President. Mr Miguna confessed that he was the one who administered the oath of office.
This led to his arrest and eventual deportation to Canada.
However, his lawyers challenged the Government’s position in court and a ruling was made in favour of Miguna.
The high court demanded that Mr Miguna be presented to court. The NRM General travelled back to Kenya on 26 March, 2018 but the Immigration Department did not clear him to enter the country.
This was because Miguna did not possess a Kenyan passport. He was asked to surrender his Canadian passport then apply for a Visa but he refused.
According to Miguna, applying for the Visa as a tourist would restrict him from conducting his political activities in the country.
Miguna deported again
After a long and dramatic standoff at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Miguna was deported for the second time to Dubai.
