Shia LaBeouf’s Ridiculous Tattoo, Against All Odds, Is Perfect

Shia LaBeouf is an actor, performance artist, and the star and writer of an upcoming film, titled Honey Boy, based on his own life. He also has a new tattoo.

Shia LaBeouf's CREEPER Tattoo Is...Perfect?

This is not just any tattoo, mind you-this is a Shia tattoo. Before you read this sentence, you probably didn't ever have any idea of what a Shia tattoo should be, though, maybe you should've. According to an interview with Variety , he got 12 while filming his 2016 movie American Honey, two of which are portraits of rapper Missy Elliott, whom he doesn't even seem to like all that much: "I dont love Missy Elliott like I wanna get two Missy Elliott tattoos, he told the trade publication in the same interview. But youre in a tattoo parlor, and...peer pressure.

You'd have to wonder if it was that same peer pressure that led to this latest ink, a full-belly swath that says "CREEPER" in spaced-out, block letters-a font that almost looks like the coming attraction sign for the original Ringling Brothers circus tour. The actor, who has become a normcore fashion icon over the past few years, was appropriately dressed, with Nike sneakers, plain-looking jeans, and a Richard Petty t-shirt.

Now, I have to raise the possibility that this tattoo is for a movie. It's prominently displayed in the publicity photo for The Tax Collector , an upcoming movie about...a tax collector, I guess. The art for that film clarifies what's on the photo, outside of the 'CREEPER' text: it looks like two women-one in some sort of Insane Clown Posse-looking makeup-right above a pair of Mickey Mouse gloves pointing at each other. There's always a chance he denies its legitimacy. But then again, so did Ben Affleck .

Real or not (though I'm really thinking it's real), once you've seen LaBeouf's new tattoo, it's hard to imagine him with any other. What else for the man who once wore a paper bag on his head on the red carpet? If not the man with the most immortal motivational clip on the entire internet, then who? Whether it's as temporary as a cold, or as permanent as, well, a tattoo, it's already hard to imagine that on anyone else.

It's divine. It's a fit. It's perfect.
