Politician shot dead

Mr Gude, who was an aspirant during the 2017 General Election was shot alongside his friend Nassib Diti near Wembley Video Hall in Kibundani Village, Ukunda, Kwale County.

Police officers in the area have launched investigations to track down the unknown assailant after the night attack.

Confirming the incident Msambweni police boss Joseph Chebusit divulged that the details of what transpired were still scanty.

“I'm currently at the scene (of the incident) but we will give more details of the matter," he was quoted as saying by the Nation.

Reports further indicate that two others were seriously injured at the scene.
