In what was dubbed “The Kenyan Cool Girl’s Guide to Nairobi”, Vogue Magazine featured some of Kenya’s top creatives including Film maker Wanuri Kahiu of controversial lesbian film Rafiki, musician Muthoni Drummer Queen, model Ajuma Nasanyana, fashion stylist Annabel Onyango, Fashion retailer Diana Opoti among others.

Lead characters in Rafiki Sam Mugatsia and Sheila Munyiva were also featured in the spread.

Educational Development Consultant Niccola Milnes, Fashion designer and social activist Anyango Mpinga, Book publisher Angela Wachuka, Writer Wanjiru Koinange, Jewelry designer and brand consultant Gladys Macharia, Fashion designer Katungulu Mwendwa, Jewelry designer Ami Doshi Shah, Make-up artist Sinitta Okello and Creative Director Velma Rossa were the other women featured in the spread.

Tailored to serve as a guide to Nairobi, the article highlighted some of Nairobi’s hot spots as well as bring attention to lesser known locations within Nairobi city – through this and many other aspects, the ladies got to reveal more about their lifestyles.
