A new study claims to have found the perfect age for people to get married.

According to the study, people should get married between the ages of 28 and 32 if they want their marriage to last for the first five years.

The study suggests that people between these ages have had enough experience with previous relationships and thus are at a better position to make good, comprehensible and mature decisions in their relationships.

They are past the silly games they used to play in their early twenties and know exactly what they want from a person during that time.

In addition to that, the study indicates that a person tends to be more financially stable at that age having been able to make several investments and important decisions so when they make the decision to get married, they are more serious about it.

Another study conducted by researchers at Emory University surveyed more than 3000 couples- either currently married or recently divorced – and found a correlation between the length of the dating period and how long the couples’ marriages lasted.

Findings of the research found that couples that had dated for one to two years had a 20 percent lower chance of divorcing as compared to those that dated for one year.

Compared to the couples that had dated for three or more years; their chances of divorce decreased by close to 50 percent.

The average couple waits for five years before they get married so it seems things are on track.

Regardless of what the study says, at the end of it all, a couple’s decision on when they would get married solely depends on them.
