Date and Venue of Kalonzo's swearing-in (Revealed)

Kalonzo has now agreed to take the oath barely a month after Raila Odinga did the same at Uhuru Park.

This comes barely a month after NASA leader Raila Odinga took a mock oath at the same venue on January 30th.According to the Star, Kalonzo had bowed to the pressure and agreed to take the oath just like Odinga did.Close allies of the former Vice President confirmed that his swearing-in plans were underway and was being organised by the co-principals. “There are a few issues they are sorting out as principals first, but he will be sworn in," Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior mentioned.

Kalonzo skipped Raila's swearing-inThe wiper leader was branded a coward and traitor after skipping the oath ceremony of the former premier at Uhuru Park.NASA co-principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi were also missing in action.However, last week Kalonzo maintained that he was not a coward and was ready to take the oath anytime.

It now remains to be seen whether the Wiper leader will this time show up for the ceremony or pull ou at the last minute.

Government crackdown on NRM

At the same time, Government initiated a crackdown on all leaders that participated in the swearing-in of Odinga.

Interiors CS Fred Matiang'i also declared the National Resistance Movement (NRM) a criminal group.

This has seen self-declared NRM general Miguna Miguna (who was part of administering Odinga's oath) deported to Canada and a section of NASA MPs arrested and charged with treason.

Meanwhile, envoys in the country are pushing Odinga and Kalonzo to recognise Uhuru kenyatta as the legitimate elected President.
