The 36-year old Lagos artist has specialized in oil painting and his works seems to confuse anyone scrolling down his Instagram page.

Olumide describes his work of art as ‘hyper reality’ and from the images, the distinction between real and fake can challenge anyone’s brain.

The artist whose painting are mostly composed of water droplets makes anyone think that the water is real, however it is simply a painting.

Olumide studied fine art at the Yaba College of Technology in Lagos and began painting professionally in 2008.

In 2011 he held his first exhibition at a gallery in a town in his country.

Here is a taste of his amazing work. I will let you be the judge of which one is a painting or a photo.
