Led by Cheranganyi Member of Parliament (MP) Joshua Kutuny the leaders issued a stern warning to president Uhuru Kenyatta following the arrest of Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter.
His concerns were echoed by Mogotio MP Samuel Moroto who also differed with the president following recent developments.
Kutuny took issue with the arrest, terming it an attempt to intimidate the legislator after he defied orders to step down from the parliamentary labour and social welfare committee.
Keter was arrested by police on Friday on allegations of forgery and taken to Muthaiga police station where he has been detained.
The leaders took a swipe a President Kenyatta, urging him to respect the rule of law or else his legacy will flop.
"You will only set a legacy with respecting the rule of law…We are not happy with you Mr. President and the entire Rift Valley is watching."
The legislator wondered how Keter’s arrest would be explained to Jubilee supporters in Rift Valley, claiming that several hours after his arrest, the police had not made any recording in the occurance book.
