Mr. Aukot said that the task force is unconstitutional and wants members of the task force to denounce their membership.
"We established that some members of the task force are already serving as state and public officers elsewhere and it is, therefore, illegal for them to be members of a task force that purports to pursue a public interest," Aukot said in a letter to the task force.
"The emolument they receive from the task force amount to gainful employment and therefore contravenes the provisions of Article 77 of the Constitution," he added.
The law prohibits State officers from engaging in other gainful employment.
The Thirdway Alliance Kenya party leader also demand that the public be informed on its budgeting and funding.
In May, President Kenyatta officially gazetted the 14-member Building Bridges initiative and gave them a year to submit a comprehensive report.
The members include Adams Oloo , Agnes Kavindu, Senator Amos Wako, Florence Omose, Saeed Mwanguni, James Matundura, Major John Seii, Bishop Lawi Imathiu, Maison Leshomo, Senator Mohamed Yusuf Haji, Morompi ole Ronkai Prof., Bishop Peter Njenga, Rose Moseu and Archbishop Zecheus Okot.
