Uhuru will support me - Moi announces

2022 succession

The KANU chairperson deliberately mentioned that he is in good terms with the president.

“I assure you that I do not have a problem with the president. Let us give him space because currently, he has a lot of issues. We should support him,” said the senator.

The presidential hopeful tactfully assured his supporters of the president’s support in a sentiment, ‘Mr. Kenyatta knows what he will do when that time comes”.

While Mr. Moi avoided to give his view on Uhuru’s cabinet entrants, KANU Secretary General Nick Salat was quick to express disappointment on Uhuru’s cabinet nominees adding that KANU was left on the cold.

“We respect the president a lot and he knows that, but I cannot understand why KANU was left in the cold,” Nick Salat said.

The senator and the Deputy President William Ruto have been on a scramble for political supremacy. The bone of contention has always been on who is the ultimate kingpin of politics in the vast Rift Valley province.
