Migori Governor Okoth Obado, who is accused of murdering his pregnant girlfriend Sharon Otieno, presented himself in court for the mention of the case.
The county boss, who is out on bond, was at the High Court in Milimani, Nairobi, in the company of his lawyers.
Obado is out on a Ksh5 million cash bail and he also paid two sureties of a similar amount.
During his bail hearing, Justice Jessie Lessit ordered Obado to submit his travel documents to the court.
The directive clamped Governor Obado on condition that he will not be able to travel outside the country, to discharge his duties as county boss.
Obado was also barred from going anywhere within 20km of Homa Bay-Migori boundary and the court declared that it had the liberty to cancel his bail at any time.
Justice Lessit also warned Obado from causing an adjournment during the trial. He was also directed to report to the deputy registrar once in a month.
In his bail terms, Obado was also warned against intimidating parents, siblings and any relations of Ms Sharon Otieno. He was also told to refrain from discussing the deceased in any political gatherings.
Obado alongside his personal assistant Michael Oyamo and Migori County Clerk Caspal Obiero were facing two murder charges.
They were also accused of killing Sharon Otieno’s unborn child. Ms Otieno was seven months pregnant at the time she was abducted and killed.
