Kilimani Mums and Radio Africa clash over stolen Facebook page

The Kilimani Mums groups have provided a place where women from all walks of life can vent, ask for advice, gossip and even trade through the Kilimani Mums Marketplace.

Kilimani Mums Show

So popular and controversial is this group that they are now working on a highly-anticipated TV show that is expected to rival ratchet reality show Nairobi Diaries (N.D).

But unlike N.D which is wrought by scandal, Kilimani Mums aims to making a difference. “Many women in Kenya are afraid of telling their stories simply because they fear being ostracised, judged or being termed as “not good enough. We are giving these women a chance to freely share their stories, empower, challenge and inspire one another.” said Kilimani Mums.

Now the group’s progress has been met with a huddle after Radio Africa trademarked the name ‘Kilimani Mums’ and went ahead to report the group for intellectual property infringement as demonstrated in the email below.

A move that was viewed as 'stealing' since everyone knows that Kilimani Mums is not owned by Radio Africa.

But as expected, Kilimani Mums is not going down without a fight and the group members are out to stop Radio Africa’s sly ways through the hashtag : #SOMEONETELLRADIOAFRICA
