In a statement, Mr. Muthama had announced that he will not be defending his seat in the August 8 General Election.

He went ahead to accuse Kalonzo of handling party affairs unfairly highlighting that he was handing out party tickets to his favorites.

The wealthy Senator added that he was no longer a member of Wiper Party. However, he noted that he would defend ODM Party leader Raila Odinga as the National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate.

In a comeback on Sunday, Kalonzo told off Muthama noting that he cannot say that he was in NASA yet against the Alliance’s running mate, who happens to be him.

He demanded the senator to make his stand clear, that is whether he was in NASA or not.

“You are either with us or not, you cannot say that you will campaign for Raila and not Wiper because they are one entity and distancing yourself from Wiper means you are not in NASA too,” Muthama mentioned.

Mr Kalonzo was speaking to journalists after attending a church service in Mlolongo.

When Muthama ditched Wiper he stated that: “I do not feel I have the face, anymore, to campaign or face our supporters in Wiper all over because the party has betrayed the people’s trust”.
