Peter Kenneth embarrasses Miguna on Citizen TV

The ongoing mud-slinging between the Nairobi gubernatorial aspirants once again came to fore last night; this time round between former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth and lawyer Miguna Miguna.

Kenneth described Miguna as a pathological liar who had no financial clout or muscle to mount a suuceesful campaign to be the next Nairobi County boss.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Thursday night Kenneth said Miguna had approached him to seek financial assistance for his gubernatorial campaigns.

“Miguna came to my office seeking funds to run for governorship. I told him to fundraise and even after that, the people he invited for the fundraiser, nobody showed up,” Kenneth told Citizen TV’s Anne Kiguta.

Kenneth was responding to a vicious barrage of attacks that Miguna had mounted against him over the past few months.

During an interview on April 26, Miguna accused Kenneth of zero achievement in a decade as Gatanga MP who had falsely taken credit for the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and had failed to perform in his task of legislation as MP.

"Kenneth did nothing in parliament, he failed in school, he looted Kenya-Re, he opposed progressive things that would empower the Gatanga people. He was born in Nairobi but ran away.

He was an Assistant Minister for Nairobi for 5 years. What did he do for Nairobi? Zero! Peter Kenneth is jiggered mind referring to a book title," Miguna said.

Miguna was referring to an excerpt in the book where the author who headed the jigger campaign accused Kenneth of impairing his efforts to help Gatanga residents.

Kenneth refused to respond to the claims constantly referring to Miguna as a pathological liar.
