Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi directed the two to be held at the Kilimani Police Station pending his ruling on their bail application which will be delivered on Tuesday.
The two spent a better part of Monday at the Milimani Law Courts after they surrendered to EACC on Sunday.
The couple and eight others are charged with irregular allocation of a Sh588 million tender in Kiambu County.
Why Waititu's daughter has not been charged in corruption case
DPP Noordin Haji on July 26 approved charges against the suspects revealing that funds were paid to a company owned by the Governor's wife.
"Having independently reviewed the evidence in the inquiry file and the report, I am satisfied that there is sufficient evidence to sustain charges," the DPP stated
Governor Waititu's daughter, Monica Njeri, who had been mentioned in previous corruption scandals at the county was spared in the DPP's latest charges.
"Upon review, we find that she was a sleeping director and not active in the affairs of the company," DPP Haji stated.
