On Friday, local media houses conclusively confirmed that DP Ruto’s Weston Hotel was behind the expansion an application that was approved by NEMA and which reportedly saw Dolphin hotel encroach into the Indian Ocean.
However, by Saturday the records had been pulled down from NEMA website in what a section of the public saw as an attempt to cover up.
Netizens termed the move as impunity of the highest order and urged DPP Noordin Haji to swing into action and arrest those propagating impunity.
The controversial expansion came to the limelight after 2 Nation journalists were arrested while filming the construction of the multi-billion beach-front property in Shanzu beach.
Weston Hotel itself is at the center of controversy after the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority divulged that the land on which the hotel sits is a public land belonging to the authority.
