Sonko will be appearing on behalf of Nairobi County which has claimed ownership of the Ruaraka land where Ruaraka Secondary School and Drive Inn Primary are located.
PAC is interested in understanding how Nairobi County came to the conclusion that it had ownership to the controversial piece of land.
The Ministry of Education and the National Lands Commission facilitated payment of Sh1.5 billion to businessman Francis Mburu who had claimed ownership of the land.
He was to receive a balance of Sh1.7 billion but the payment has since been halted as investigators look into the transaction.
The Senate is among institutions that are investigating the circumstances under which a private businessman was to be compensated Sh3.2 billion for the land that he had already surrendered to the Nairobi City Council – the predecessor the Nairobi County government.
The development came even as it emerged that the DPP had adopted Mburu’s business associate as a state witness.
