Longton Jamil who hails from Kajiado County is an admin of a popular WhatsApp group dubbed Kajiado Unity of Purpose.
He was arrested by CID officers from Kitengela police station and he is being detained at Isinya police post.
According to Kajiado County commission Harsama Kello who confirmed the arrest said that the culprit will be arraigned in court on 14 of August.

“He was spreading alarming propaganda on social media, including disturbing pictures of dead people.” Said the commissioner
He cautioned other social media users to avoid misusing the platform, warning that their days are numbered.
However, Jamil denied the allegation of spreading false news in the said group that has many members.
Early on, Police spokesman Charles Owino had warned all group Admins both on Facebook and WhatsApp, that they will face it rough if members of their group misuse social media.
