Mwangi, who is eyeing Starehe parliamentary seat, alleged that the station made a false advertisement highlighting that he would be debating his two rivals: Njagua Kanyi better known as Jaguar and Steven Mbogo.

However, Jaguar told the station that he would not be in for the interview while Mr Mbogo failed to show up.

When Mwangi arrived at the studio he met political activist Brian Weke, something that forced him to walk away.

According to the Starehe aspiring MP, it did not make sense to debate with Weke as he is not vying for any seat in the August 8 General Election.

"I have walked out of @K24Tv. They ran this AD, Njagua declined. Mbogo didn't show up, they wanted me to debate Brian Weke who isn't an aspirant," he said.

Mr Mwangi warned media houses against not disclosing full information when inviting him for interviews.

"My last tweet on this @K24Tv issue, if a media house invites me, full disclosure is important. Ambushing me won't work. I will walk out," the former photojournalist added.

This is not the first time Mwangi has walked out of a tv interview as in 2016 he stormed out of Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) when Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria showed up unceremoniously.

Mwangi accused veteran journalist Jeff Koinange Live of lying that he (Mwangi) would be on the bench alone then went ahead to invite Kuria.

The activist walked out noting that he cannot debate with Mr Kuria.
