Raila warned by Kalonzo's team after making controversial decision

The Wiper Party led by Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a stern warning to ODM leader Raila Odinga after making a controversial move.

The wiper party led by Kalonzo Musyoka has warned ODM leader Raila Odinga after issuing direct tickets to some Orange party members.

Speaking to a local daily, National Assembly minority leader Francis Nyenze (Kalonzo's close ally) accused Odinga of "bullying and undermining" other coalition partners in the National Super Alliance (NASA).Nyenze stated that the Opposition leader was killing NASA by issuing direct tickets adding that it was also a way of suffocating affiliate parties.

“ODM has set a very bad precedent because there are aspirants from partner parties who are contesting against those governors."When we point out some of these glaring issues, they call people like me a tribalist, but when they do it, they are high priests... Odinga is killing the spirit of NASA," the legislator told a local daily.The MP alleged that issuing direct tickets had already compromised NASA's plans of joint nominations.

Meanwhile, the former prime minister on Monday issued 427 direct ODM tickets to a section of Orange party leaders.

Odinga said the members were rewarded for diligently serving the people and being loyal to ODM.

"Today, we give certificates to some of our hardest working and strongest aspirants and set them free to focus on the big battle of August elections. Some of you have been honoured by your constituents because of the dedication with which you have served the party,” he told the aspirants at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi.

Among the Governors who were issued with direct tickets include Hassan Alis Joho, Evans Kidero and Amason Kingi.
