The rescue mission staged was as a result of one of them identified as Sergeant Suleiman Hamisi Banda, being arrested after he went to collect his motorcycle that had been impounded by ordinary officers.
Reports indicated that an argument ensued between Banda and the law enforcers after he was asked to produce documents to show ownership of the motorbike.
Banda failed to produce the documents and a fight broke out that resulted to him being thrown into the police cell.
Further information stated that the motorcycle had been left at a roadside after the riders fled upon being stopped by traffic officers.
The soldiers left the station with their co-partner and the motorbike.
Shots fired at Langata Police station
In April this year, a number of KDF soldiers made their way to Langata police station to free a fellow soldier who had been arrested over assault claims.
It was claimed that shots were fired at the facility as the police waited for reinforcement to contain the military personnel who were unarmed.
The soldier had been apprehended and detained after a brawl with a traffic officer along Kitengela Road.
