CS Keter names new Kenya Power CEO

Ex-Kenya Power MD Ken Tarus had been earlier suspended.

This follows the suspension and arrest of Former Kenya Power Managing Director Ken Tarus, his predecessor Ben Chumo and nine senior managers at the power company.

The former senior officials on Monday denied more than six charges of economic crimes, abuse of office and conspiracy to defeat justice in purchase of substandard transformers worth over Sh409 million.

Keter named Jared Omondi Otieno named as the new Kenya Power acting MD for the next three months to head the new management team to continue operations at the troubled company.
