In a report by Standard, Malong Junior was arrested by a spy agency called the Internal Security Organization (ISO)
In the report, ISO Director General Kaka Bagyenda confirmed that they had the tycoon, but did to reveal more information.
"Malong Junior is being held as a person of interest in the ongoing investigations and I can confirm that indeed we have him," said Bagyenda.
Sources said that the South Sudanese tycoon was arrested for engaging in criminal activities which include; a trading counterfeit gold scam that saw many foreigners lose Billions of shillings.
Mysterious disappearance
The fresh details come days after Police in Uganda started investigations into his mysterious disappearance.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, Junior’s family filed a report indicating that he had been missing since November 14.
His relatives added that he had been picked up from his hotel room by people who were dressed in military uniform and who drove vehicles belonging to the Ugandan People Defence Forces (UPDF).
