Mutahi Ngunyi reveals Jubilee politicians against DP Ruto

Ngunyi spills the beans

In a tweet, Mr. Ngunyi stated that Ngunjiri’s statements on DP Ruto were completely out of order.

The analyst noted that if Jubilee party had hypocrites then the Nyeri Town legislator was one of them and dubbed the rest as ‘Ngunjiri types’.

Prof Ngunyi firmly condemned the remarks highlighting that such ought not to be tolerated.

“On William Ruto, Wambugu Ngunjiri is completely OUT of ORDER. If The HOUSE of MUMBI has been DUBBED a House of Hypocrites, it is Because of Ngunjiri TYPES. Ashindwe!” he said.

On Saturday, Ngunjiri and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria clashed over the DP's presidential bid.

This ensued online after Ngunjiri publicly stated that he will not support an individual only for the sake of ‘political loyalty’ but his vote will go to the leader committed to ensuring President Uhuru Kenyatta’s legacy.

"My vote in 2022 will go to a leader who is committed to ensuring President Kenyatta's legacy is secured and one who promotes national unity and guarantees Kenyans the right to live anywhere in the country. My vote - and for those that I can influence - will depend on the points above.

"Period. Nobody is or has ever been supported for the presidency of any country 'unconditionally. Most importantly in 2022 my vote will not depend on betrayal or paying debts; there's no such thing in politics," he said.

Mr. Kuria sharply criticized Nguniri highlighting that such remarks were a pipe dream, and may split Jubilee Party.

“I want to tell Wambugu we are not being forced to elect Ruto as the next President. It is our will since Ruto stood with President Uhuru Kenyatta when everybody abandoned him. He is also the right person for the seat. We have no option but to help him ascend to the presidency. We don’t want sideshows,” Kuria said.
