The journey to Canaan is still on, we're at Jerusalem- Raila Odinga
The Nasa presidential candidate promised his followers that the metaphorical journey is still on.
After earlier attending the All Saints Cathedral service in town, Raila expounded his intentions saying that the prayers were meant to be an act of comfort for all those citizens who were hurt by the 2017 election results.
"As you know, our country is going through very difficult times. Most Kenyans are hurting because of what happened on the 8th of this month," he said, "Kenyans are crying and craving for justice and that is why we came here to pray with rest of Keyans."
Referring to the church's sermon for the day, Mr Odinga affirmed that the popular metaphorical journey to Canaan was still on, "Today's sermon here was on the journey to Canaan and as we said, we crossed the Jordan on the eighth and we are past Jericho, we are on our way to Jerusalem."
He went on to assure the people of Kenya that nothing will prevent their will to liberate themselves, "I want to assure Kenyans that nothing will prevent the will of the people to livertae themselves from the political depression, oppression, corruption, deciet and misrule that has characterised the Jubilee administration in the last four years."
