Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Thursday turned the heat on his neighboring county boss of Machakos, Alfred Mutua, in a campaign filled with personal attacks.

Sonko led his troops who included EALA MP Simon Mbugua, former MPs Kalembe Kalembe Ndile and Reuben Ndolo, businessman Stanley Livondo, among others – in a rally addressed in Machakos Town.

Each of the speakers criticized Mutua for visiting several monuments in Nairobi which he complained had been abandoned.

Ndile and Mbugua, however, went personal on the Machakos Governor, even as Sonko and other attendees watched in amusement.

Ndile accused Mutua of lacking family values for allegedly abandoning his first wife for a young spouse – the current Machakos First Lady Lillian Nganga.

Mbugua went further to accuse the Machakos county boss of snatching Starehe MP Charles Njagua’s (Jaguar) girlfriend.

“Mutua has done something no man should do. He abandoned his first wife and kids to marry a Samantha. And even that Samantha, my investigations revealed that he snatched her from Jaguar,” Mbugua said in a speech filled with vulgar insults that we cannot publish here.

“I recently hosted Kalonzo (Musyoka) for lunch and he assumed I had abandoned him. Yesterday, he went to my hotel and arrested my staff. I am consoling myself because this is a man who abandoned his wife and children, his own blood, so whom I am I?” Ndile said alluding to his past close relationship with Mutua.

When it was Sonko’s turn to speak, he accused the Machakos Governor of “worshiping idols” instead of working to create jobs in his county.

The city boss, however, said that out of respect for Nganga, he would not touch on Mutua’s marriage life.

“The Governor is a retarded idiot. He wastes time worshiping idols. I respect women so I won’t talk about his wife. If Konza city had been built, the youths would have jobs, but since you elected a conman as a Governor, all he does is bring the President here for PR,” Sonko told the crowd.
