Brenda Wairimu has made her foray into fashion with a new clothing line dubbed ‘Brendish’.

A clothing line that is in touch with her youthful followers as it includes crop tops, ripped long-sleeved tops and graphic t-shirts.

Explaining her debut into fashion, Brenda revealed that it was inspired by people buying clothes literally off her back.

“I started making my own clothes! Stuff that fits my style and I would wear, sweaters, hoodies, dresses, I even made stuff for my guy friends too! And when I wore them, I got some really good reviews, I had two crop sweaters literally bought off my back. I should have given them for free, but the world invented this thing called school fees So we made more, and I am extremely excited to share the prototypes and few of the designs with you as we slowly but surely get this going!!! I'm thinking of calling this particular design ASHley . I would love to have you guys with a piece of me in your daily lives, wrote Brenda,” she wrote.

The prototypes have been received well online with fans declaring interest in her brand.

Brenda Wairimu is among the increasing number of celebrities who are leveraging their fame to build a fortune for themselves. Amber Ray recently launched her own line of lipsticks called Zumaridi by Amber, Vera has Veetox detox tea and Vera Sidika Beauty Parlour, Betty Kyallo has a salon by the name Flair by Betty while Huddah is experiencing resounding success with Huddah Cosmetics.

Huddah’s brand Huddah Cosmetics was recently selected as the first social commerce merchant on Mula Shops and the entrepreneur couldn’t help at marvel at how far her company has come since it was established a few years ago.

“I started my company out of pure passion and vision to offer every woman a product that celebrates the diversity of African beauty. Huddah Cosmetics is for every woman who is strong-willed, outspoken and stands for what they believe regardless of what the society thinks,” said Huddah Monroe.

Huddah Monroe also had some tips for upcoming entrepreneurs in the cosmetic business and encouraged them to launch products that work for the African market.

“People ask me how I managed to make the brand a success and I tell them it’s because I was able to bring into the market a product that complements the African skin. I have been a victim of buying expensive makeup from Europe that don't compliment my skin colour as makeup should do,” she told Business Daily.
