After years of hosting one of the most iconic shows on TV in recent times, Uduak Amimo is taking a break from ‘Cheche’.

But for a good cause. The intensely-private TV host is taking a break to concentrate on a cause she is passionate about, a mentorship program for media hopefuls.

Speaking to www.yvonneaoll.com Uduak disclosed that though she is training media hopefuls in Personal Performance, she will focus on giving the students advice on the media as its what people often come to her for.

For those looking to getting into journalism, Uduak has one piece of advice, be careful as fame can build but also destroy.

“Know why you are getting into it. Kenya makes celebrities of journalists, especially if you’re on-air. And sometimes people think the biggest ticket to fame is journalism. If you’re not careful, the fame will destroy you. Be very clear as to why you’re getting into it.” She said.
