Court Forced To Apologize To Statehouse Official
Judicial reforms in play
Dennis Itumbi who is the Senior Director of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President revealed the information through his twitter account.
He went ahead to express his joy with the reforms that have been brought about in the Kenyan Judiciary.
“A year ago, a great Judge heard and concluded my matter on illegal arrest. Since then, no Judgement rendered. The good Judge is innocent. The problem was the Registry. I however salute the registry for the apology, that is a mark of reform. Iam totally impressed @dkmaraga,” read Itumbi’s tweet on the matter.
Itumbi had written to the Deputy Registrar of the Judicial Review, Constitutional and Human Rights Division through his lawyers Chelanga Kihungi and Associates asking to know why nothing had been done for over a year.
Itumbi had sued the state for Sh50 million compensation for unlawful detention over allegations of him interfering with the ICC witnesses and that he had hacked into the ICC system.
