According to the annual WHO/UNICEF report, one child under the age of five dies from diarrhoea or pneumonia roughly every 20 seconds. That’s 1.4 million children every year. Many of these deaths can be prevented by the simple act of handwashing with soap, especially during the first 28 days after birth.

Here in Kenya, diarrhoea is ranked among the top five health challenges alongside HIV, lower respiratory infection, neonatal encephalopathy, and neonatal pre-term birth.

Considered as the gold standard in germ protection, Dettol has been committed towards spreading awareness around hand hygiene amongst children across the globe for over 80 years.
