Diamond makes rare promise after the death of Ivan Ssemwanga

Speaking to Word Is, Diamond said “Nilisikia vibaya kwa sababu ameacha watoto wake watatu na mimi naamini bado wadogo walikua still wanahitaji malezi ya baba yao mzazi. Uwepo wa baba yao ulikua una nafasi kubwa katika maisha yao. Nimeipokea kwa masikitiko lakini unajua at the end of the day ni Mwenyezi Mungu anayepanga.” (I feel bad because he left 3 children behind and I think they needed their father in their life, having their father around had a huge impact in their lives and I've received this news with great sadness but at the end of the day it's all in God’s plans.)

He promised that he would be there for Ivan’s kids which is a rarity as most step-parents don't want anything to do with another man/woman’s kids.

“Nilikua naongea jana na mama yao nikamwambia kwenye uhitaji wangu nisisite kuambiwa kwa sababu at the end of the day we are family. Nitajitahidi kadri ya uwezo wangu. They need our support and I'll make sure I'll be there for them (I was talking to their mum yesterday and told her that if the kids need any help from me she shouldn’t be hesitant about asking for help as I will try my best to support them. They need our support so I will be there for them)
