Here is why the radio station has opted to fire all workers

The Radio station which is known for its outrageous exposes has decided to go off air as they strategies for the next move.

Going by the internal memo served to all employees, Hero has come to an end and will no longer be broadcasting anymore.

“In every journey there must be stop overs. Unfortunately Hero radio has come to one. We have decided to break so many beautiful hearts who have worked tirelessly to ensure we remain afloat but tide has proven to be stronger than us” read part of Memo.

The memo was served with immediate effect, hence terminating the contracts of all employees who had been working with Hero.

“We wish to announce that we are with immediate effect halting all your services as we shut down to strategize on our next move. We will communicate soon if something comes up.” Read the memo

For the past few years, the media industry has been affected by changes in the Kenyan economy hence forcing them to cut off its man power by firing or retrenching workers.

Radio Africa, Royal Media Services, Nation Media Group are among the media houses who have been forced to lay off their employees in order to keep up with the changing times.
