“It was actually on the same day that Uhuru Kenyatta was sworn in for his first term as president, then I approached her. I told her that I was making it official, I wanted to take a risk with her.” Phil told True Love Magazine.
And that is when he told Kate that ‘many people were warning him about her but that he was still going ahead and taking a very big risk with her.’

Despite the warnings from the Negative Nancies, Phil dating and marrying Catherine proved to be one of the best decisions of his life as Kate brought out the lion in him.
“When I mate Kate, I was a gatherer but she made me a hunter. I had dreams that I was afraid of pursuing, but she has this attitude of just doing things, going out and getting things done. That is one quality that has rubbed off on me. And now all the naysayers keep saying they see what I saw.” Phil informed the magazine.
