Wahu reveals the life changing situation that propelled her to Christ

Wahu's 'My Everything' track is based on a true story

Wahu’s decisive moment was when her husband David Mathenge better known as Nameless was unwell and hospitalized with a severe health condition.

Nameless was suffering from subarachnoid hemorrhage which is bleeding in the space between your brain and the surrounding membrane (subarachnoid space). The symptom is a sudden and severe headache. The headache is sometimes associated with nausea, vomiting and a brief loss of consciousness.

The ‘Inspire me’ singer was rushed to hospital and placed in high dependency unit, an area in a hospital, usually located close to the intensive care unit, where patients can be monitored extensively.

Nameless told the Star that after being tested, it was discovered that his condition did not require surgery.

“After a few more tests my doctor realized that fortunately my condition didn’t need surgery. What I needed was to be closely monitored in HDU and given the right medication to allow the leaked blood to dissolve, the ruptured vessels to heal and the pain to be controlled.”

The veteran musician was transferred to the ward two weeks later and then discharged after he got well. The situation inspired Wahu and impelled her to seek God.

She said, “In the situation where my husband was unwell, I went on my knees because it is not about how popular or how much people love you. Those are not the things that matter. Sometimes God shows you ‘I Am God’ and you just have to come down and say yes you are God and you are everything.”
