"We are asking ourselves, what did Millie do…what debt did she have that the family could not have paid to necessitate such a brutal, inhumane murder," the brother posed.
On Tuesday morning, when Mildred is said to have disappeared, she hailed a taxi at 4am seeking to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
Security guards at her apartment in Kariobangi South confirmed the report adding that they helped her call the taxi and instructed the driver to take her to Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital.
Taxi Driver Arrested
The taxi driver who took her to the hospital was arrested after his account of the story did not match CCTV footage.
He alleged that he dropped her and 4:30 am and left immediately, however, CCTV footage showed his car leaving the facility at 5:57 am.
Further, CCTV footage shows the driver entering the health facility and leaving without having dropped anyone.
Police believe that the driver has knowledge of what might have happened to Mildred but is refusing to cooperate with the authorities.
"My sister was recently diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension and ulcers and I was with her on Sunday when I went to cook for her and her son," her sister Maureen Anyango told reporters on Saturday.
