The remarks were made by Siaya Senator James Orengo, Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga, Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang and MP Peter KAluma at Asumbi Catholic Church on Sunday during a vote hunting campaign.

The leaders made the statement as a warning to President Uhuru Kenyatta after Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery stated that Odinga will be investigated over his alleged volatile statement in Kajiado.

Mr Orengo mentioned that a move to prosecute the Former Prime Minister will anger Kenyans leading to a retaliation.

"All Kenyans are ready to move with Mr Odinga to prison. Let Uhuru know that there shall be no election in August if he arrests Mr Odinga," Orengo was quoted by Nation as saying.

This comes days after Mr Nkaissery mentioned that the NASA Presidential candidate will be probed following instructions from the National Cohesion and Integration Commission.

"Having come from Kajiado Central, I made sure as the then-member of Parliament that people live harmoniously. Utterances by somebody who is seeking to be the president of this country are unfortunate and amount to incitement," the CS said.

"We are waiting for instructions from NCIC because the Directorate of Criminal Investigations will investigate and DPP will prosecute," he added.

During his tour to Kajiado Mr Odinga was is captured on camera addressing the public, where he is heard cautioning them against selling their land to unnamed people.
