MP arrested during Tuesday's Mau Eviction Protest

Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johanna Ng'eno was arrested over allegations of leading protests against the phase two Mau Forest evictions.

Reports have claimed that the MP was among three legislators arrested on Tuesday after police barricaded a road to keep them from accessing families being evicted.

Oloolulunga Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Jefferson Langat also arrested and both are being taken to Narok.

Kenya Forest Service (KFS) rangers moved into the forest in preparation for another round of evictions where the government hopes to have 60,000 families move out of Mau.
