Bishop Wahome is seeking to have the DPP barred from arresting him in connection to claims that he used abusive language against a state official, Nyeri South Deputy County Commissioner Henry Ochako.
The incident in question took place on August 28, when Wahome had an altercation with the man over an ongoing case of the theft of two of his dogs valued at Sh300,000.
"The DCC lodged a criminal case number 543 of 2019 at a court in Othaya against me where I was to be charged with using abusive language in a manner likely to cause breach of peace.
"He informed me that if I fail to withdraw a complaint against the chief I will suffer the consequences," court papers read in part.
Bishop Wahome worried for his life
Through his lawyer Douglas Ombogi, Bishop Wahome claimed that he fears for his life and is constantly worried that a gang may attack him so he is forced to avoid public spaces.
He has further sought restraining orders against the DCC and Chief Paul Waigeni who he took to court for stealing the two dogs.
