Uhuru gives Matiang'i 30-day deadline
The CS has few days to act.
Through his twitter handle on Tuesday, the President said that the report should have a comprehensive framework and strategy to improve their efficiency.
“I have directed CS Fred Matiang’i and Inspector General Joseph Boinnet to provide me with a comprehensive policy framework and strategy on how to improve efficiency & effectiveness in the National Police Service and equally address the persisting housing problem in the next 30 days,” the Head of State stated.
In February, President Uhuru launched a basic training curriculum at the Kenya School of Government at Lower Kabete in Nairobi, and promised to scale up the modernization plan for the police in his second term.
“The modernization programme we’ve undertaken – and which continues in my administration’s second term – prepares the Service to meet both the security challenges Kenya face today, and those we can expect tomorrow,” said the President
