Murder case of Vioja Mahakamani actor stalls over report

Murder case suffers setback

The late Jamal Gaddafi during an episode of Vioja Mahakamani

The case of slain Vioja Mahakami actor Jamal Gaddafi on Tuesday stalled after the suspect failed to take a plea due to lack of a report.

Grace Kananu Namulo, who was the deceased’s girlfriend, failed to answer to the charges after a psychological medical report was not presented to the court as ordered.

The court had directed for Namulo be taken to Mathare Hospital to see a psychiatrist in December last year.

The suspect however was not taken through the procedure due to the doctor being away on holiday.

Judge George Odunga of the Machakos High Court, stated that the case would proceed once the report was presented.

The case is set to be heard on January 22.

Gaddafi was stabbed to death on December 12 following an alleged domestic quarrel with Namulo.

Sources indicated that the argument had started when Gaddafi confronted the woman and enquired why she had she had been dancing and accepting drinks from other men who had attended a party she had organized at the Arks Hotel in Mlolongo.

The lady however denied the claims and pointed out that the actor died after he fell on a kitchen knife during the argument.

The matter however took a twist after it was claimed that police officers were looking for two men who had taken Gadafi’s body back to the crime scene after reporting the matter.
